Method

Every plate is entered with a code, a series, a location, a year and a film stock. Nothing is filed without all five. Captions never exceed one catalogue line.

Holdings

621 plates covering post-war concrete construction across Europe, 1958 to 1994. Originals are stored in cold rooms; scans are 16-bit greyscale at 4000 dpi.

Access

The catalogue is public. Reading-room appointments on Thursdays. Reproduction requests are answered in writing, in the order received.

Style guide / rules

— 4px ink rules. No rounded corners, ever.
— No shadows, no gradients, no easing longer than 80ms.
— Hazard orange is a marker, never a background field.
— Images sit flush to their frame, full-bleed inside the grid.
— One idea per cell. Cells are separated by rules, not gaps.
